[28.10.14] Renewals Basis and Unfurnished Rental Properties

From 6 April 2013 HMRC changed the ‘renewals allowance’ for the cost of landlords replacing furniture. These changes mean that landlords are now unable to claim a deduction for the costs of replacing furniture including free standing cookers, fridges carpets, curtains etc.
